CirCoAX by CircularInnoBooster promotes the integration of Sustainbility in fashion and textiles with a high-level online webinar

The online webinar “Nextextilegeneration: integrating SDGs in the Fashion & Textile Industries” will take place on the Next Wednesday, September 28, at 16:00 CET. The purpose will be to showcase ideas and projects that integrate Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), drawing inspiration for other public and private actors across Europe. This event is organized by Finnova Foundation, partner of the European CircularInnoBooster project co-financed by the European Union under the COSME program. This project aims at transforming the fashion and textile industries into circular, regenerative and sustainable ones.

This webinar will take part in the framework of the European Week for Sustainable Development and Nextextilegeneration initiative. The former is a European-wide initiative to stimulate and make visible activities, projects and events that promote sustainable development. The later aims at giving visibility and empowering ground-breaking ideas on sustainable practices in fashion and textiles. By the means of this platform, Finnova disseminates relevant information related to the industry with information on other European projects.

The event will be divided into four panels with high-level speakers from institutions such as Begoña Guzmán,Head of Culture for Social Transformationat UNESCO Etxea,   and Christian Daube, Strategic Programmes Builder, ClimAccelerator Community at EIT Climate KIC, within the Institutional Panel. Secondly, it will discuss the integration of SDG’s into the textile industry with members of CirCoAX by CircularInnoBooster such as the leader Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) with Mercedes Marin and Paloma García from The Circular Project. Thirdly, the Nextextilegeneration initiative will be presented by CEO at Finnova Foundation, Juan Manuel Revuelta. Finally, there will be a whole panel dedicated to different projects that are working on environmental, governance, and social areas.

Participants will learn on how to take active role in this transformation, no matter their sector or background. They will also have the opportunity to network, which will stimulate alliances and enable further discussions on innovation and sustainability in this sector.

About CircularInnoBooster

CircularInnoBooster Fashion and Textile (F&T) is a project funded by the Program for the Competitiveness of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (COSME) of the European Union.

The CircularInnoBooster project aims to transform companies in the textile and fashion industry into sustainable, circular and regenerative companies. It has a budget of 1,128,000 euros, 75% co-financed by the European Commission for the duration of two years.
