TEXTIL4ALL, a project whose objective is to boost a responsible and sustainable textile industry
The project TEXTIL4ALL seeks to promote a textile industry that is more engaged with sustainability and the current environmental challenges. Led by the Association for Education, Culture and solidarity (ECYS) in Madrid , this project has a clear focus, train people who face barriers to access employment, especially in the neighbourhoods of San Cristóbal de los Ángeles (Madrid) and Thessaloniki (Greece).
This programme will go beyond providing tools for job market integration. It will also foment the transformation of the textile sector into a more inclusive and respectful model with the environment, facing problems like fast fashion.
An international consortium for change:
The TEXTIL4ALL Project is backed by a consortium formed by the Envolve organisation in Greece and Finnova Foundation from Belgium, who contribute their experience in sustainability and support for female entrepreneurship. With a duration of 19 months and a budget of 60.000 euros, this project is a key initiative to support the labour transition in vulnerable areas and to promote inclusion in the textile sector.
Who is TEXTIL4ALL directed to?
This programme is aimed at people, especially women between 30-50 years old, who face socioeconomical difficulties in accessing formation and employment. Approximately 70 participants (from Spain and Greece) will have the opportunity to improve their labour perspectives through this training. Moreover, different organisations from both countries textile sector of will also partake in the project, collaborating in the creation of this professional education course.
Main activities
TEXTIL4ALL is structured in two main activities:
- Development of training material: The educational content will be developed for 8 months, focused on textile sustainability, employability and entrepreneurship.
- Implementation of training: 20 seminars will be carried out between September and March, oriented to ease the integration of the participants in the sustainable textile sector.

Who is who in this project?
Education, culture and solidarity (ECYS) is a non-profit association that works on improving the lives of socially vulnerable people living in Madrid, namely in the neighbourhood of San Cristóbal de los Ángeles. With a focus on training and mpowerment, ECYS promotes social and labour inclusion, offering opportunities for a fairer and more equal future.
The Finnova Foundation, known for its work on sustainable fashion and circular economy projects, strengthens its compromise with the textile sector through TEXTIL4ALL. The foundation has already led projects like CirCoAX by CircularInnoBooster, promoting the transition to circular and regenerative fashion. Furthermore, female entrepreneurship is a priority for Finnova, who collaborates with the initiative Women For Tech, supporting the innovations and disruptive projects led by women.
Elliniko Vraveio Epicheirimatikotitas (Envolve) is a global organisation dedicated to foment entrepreneurship and innovation. Envolve Greece is integrated in the Libra Social Responsibility Initiative, offering programmes that provide opportunities that are educational as well as entrepreneurial. In addition, Envolve is part of the Ecosystex network, which belongs to the European Technology Platform for the Future of the Textile and Clothing Sector, and offers support to boost entrepreneurship and promote sustainability in companies.
