The CirCoAx programme, CircularInnoBooster Fashion and Textile’s collaborative and cooperative circular co-design accelerator, in which the Finnova Foundation is a partner, has received a special mention at the Jean-Baptiste Say Awards. The awards recognize those individuals, companies or institutions whose track record is characterized by the values of business excellence, executive training, commitment to innovation and the development of business ecosystems. The awards ceremony will be held in April in Seville.
On 15 March 2022, the CirCoAX acceleration programme will start to promote a transformation based on the circular economy model of the fashion and textile industry in Europe. Over 8 months, the 30 beneficiaries will receive €12,000 in funding, mentoring, visibility, workshops, networking and opportunities to apply for further European funding. The aim of this unique opportunity is to help scale these proposals and turn them into international benchmarks. Cooperation and sustainability will be two of the pillars on which the programme will be based, in order to create a European community committed to real change, favouring the transfer of acquired knowledge and advocating for the replicability of the project in the future.
The Jean-Baptiste Say Awards, promoted by the digital business newspaper Diario de Empresa, have among their fundamental objectives the promotion of the economic, social, educational and business development of society, these awards being an example of the visibility of those who contribute to this objective from the executive and business spheres.

About CircularInnoBooster Fashion and Textile
CircularInnoBooster Fashion and Textile is a COSME project (Programme for the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of the European Union) that seeks to stimulate the transition of SMEs in the textile and fashion sector towards regenerative, circular and sustainable businesses from a collaborative approach. With the duration of 2 years, it has a budget of 1,128,000 euros, 75% co-financed by the European Commission. The project is composed of an international consortium led by the European Institute of Design (IED), together with Texfor, Circulab, Finnova and The Circular Project with HumanNation. It takes a holistic approach to the circular economy based on the principles of regenerative industries, co-creation and community engagement models. The aim is to achieve the broadest application of circularity, considering in a balanced way the environmental, social and economic dimensions.

COSME is the Competitiveness of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises programme of the European Commission’s Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME). Through this programme, assistance is provided to SMEs to help them develop their business models, access finance and internationalize. It also supports public administrations in improving the business environment and facilitating economic growth in the European Union. During the 2014-2020 funding period, this programme allocated €2.3 billion to support SMEs.
