Launch of the Specialist Training Workshop in Textile Sustainability

We are pleased to announce the launch of a new Specialist Training Workshop in Textile Sustainability, which will take place from November 4 to 29 in San Cristóbal de los Ángeles, Madrid. This program is specially designed for women between 30 and 55 years old, with the aim of empowering them in the field of textile sustainability.

What Will You Learn?

Participants will acquire fundamental technical knowledge for textile waste management, as well as skills that will improve their employability in an increasingly demanding sector. Topics to be covered include:

  • Strategies for reducing and managing textile waste
  • Recycling and reuse techniques in the textile industry
  • Best practices for sustainability in textile production

ERASMUS+ TEXTIL4ALL Project

This workshop is part of the ERASMUS+ TEXTIL4ALL project, an initiative funded by the Erasmus+ program that seeks to promote a more sustainable and responsible textile industry. The project is led by the Spanish non-profit association Educación, Cultura y Solidaridad and includes a consortium formed by the Greek entity Envolve and the Finnova Foundation from Belgium.The main objective of this European project is to offer training and job opportunities to people with difficulties accessing jobs, especially women. Funded by the Spanish Service for the Internationalization of Education (SEPIE) through the Erasmus+ program, it has a budget of 60,000 euros and a duration of 19 months. Thanks to the collaborating entities, it will begin its intervention with women from the San Cristóbal de los Ángeles neighborhood in Madrid, and from the city of Thessaloniki, in Greece.
