CIRCULAB, a project of AL-INVEST Verde

AL-INVEST Verde is a European Union programme whose main objective is to promote sustainable growth and job creation in Latin America, supporting the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more circular economy.

It has a budget of 37.7 million euros and a duration of five years since the end of 2021, and is organised into three complementary components.

SME Innovation and Green Transition

Circulab is part of Component 1, "Innovation and green transition of SMEs", which manages funds —up to 25 million euros— for the implementation of innovative projects of small business partnerships that promote sustainable practices in the private sector.

The projects executed under this component guide the region’s small and medium-sized enterprises to adopt less polluting and more efficient products, processes and services, while countries adopt more sustainable consumption patterns.

Component 1 is led by sequa, a German non-profit organisation that operates worldwide with the aim of promoting the private sector.

CIRCULAB Socios y Consorcio

Circulab is promoted by Fundación Inexmoda, the Colombian entity organising Colombiamoda and Colombiatex that leads and coordinates the technical and financial execution of the project, together with Finnova, a European foundation specialising in European Union funding for the circular transition of the textile and fashion sector.

The project runs for eight months, between 1 February and 30 September 2026, with a total budget of 247,460.30 euros, subsidised at 80% by the European Union through AL-INVEST Verde.
